10-YEAR TIMELINE At the conclusion of the 2005 Annual Meeting, Robert Walsh, Commissioner of the NYC Depart-ment of Small Business Services, congratulated the FCBID on its rich history of accomplishments and presented FCBID Chairman & President George S. Kaufman with a framed copy of a detailed 10 year timeline of FCBID accomplishments that was developed by FCBID staff to celebrate the organization’s first decade of service to the Fashion District community. The timeline measures almost six feet in length.

Commissioner Walsh also presented the FCBID with a Certificate of Recognition, signed by Mayor Michael Bloomberg, thanking the BID for its many years of exem-plary service to the midtown Manhattan community and for its commitment to improving the quality of life for area businesses, residents and visitors. A framed copy of the timeline was later also presented to Commissioner Walsh and is now on display at the Department of Small Business Services.

LOCAL HERO FCBID Executive Director, Barbara Blair Randall, received the DeWitt Stern Local Hero Award at A.R.T./New York’s annual meeting in May 2005. Ms. Randall was recognized for her community leadership and the FCBID’s outstanding support of local theaters and the arts community.
