New York is home to America's world renowned fashion talent. From the industry's most famous designers to it's most promising entrepreneurs, fashionmakers locate their businesses here, taking advantage of the city's unlimited creative resources. And it all happens in the Fashion Center.
The Fashion Center, affectionately known as the Garment District, is comprised of 34 million square feet extending from Fifth to Ninth Avenues and from 35th to 41st streets, and is managed by the not-for-profit District Management Association, which is comprised of building owners, commercial and residential tenants and public and industry representitives. The Fashion Center's operating budget of $3 million is funded by an assessment of properties within this district. |
