Britain. The next year, the system is employed on all Avenues

FCBID installs another 16
security lights along
Eighth Avenue, adding 6400 additional watts
of light to the streets.

FCBID institutes ComNet, a stateof- the-art
computer tracking program that documents infrastructure issues.
The award-winning www.fashioncenter.com website undergoes a major
update. A new section on real estate is added to satisfy growing
interest in the district.
DECEMBER

FCBID completes a comprehensive study of the history and effectiveness
of the Special Garment District Zoning.
Crime is down
58% since the FCBID was formed.
Sanitation hits
a milestone: a half million bags of litter have been collected
to date -
that's 3,663 tons of litter.
