Touch Screen Terminals The FCBID and the Port Authority have collaborated to establish new touch-screen information kiosks at the Bus Terminal. The kiosks not only provide bus terminal infor-mation but also promote the Fashion District to visitors as well. The kiosks have been attracting attention and have been mentioned on UPN Ch. 9 News.

New Manager of Information Services

In April, Lauren Durante joined the staff of the FCBID as its new Manager of Information Services. Lauren joined the BID in April, after having worked in visual merchandising for Macy's. www.fashioncenter.com, the FCBID's website, has been redesigned and updated. The changes reflect the types of uses in the district and improve the site navigation based upon the different types of site users. Sections of the site include: About the Fashion Center BID, Fashion District Real Estate, Dining in the Fashion District, Small Business Centers, Theatres & Art Galleries, and Fashion Industry Information. The users of the site were initially very fashion industry oriented, until the popular real estate section was added about three years ago. The recent changes were made to make the site more of a resource for the community with the inclusion of retail listings, and give the district a better image by the addition of arts and cultural offerings.

Map

The FCBID retail map has been updated and redesigned. The MAP is distributed to all district property owners, business tenants and visitors to the Information Kiosk. Stop by the Kiosk or contact the FCBID office at 212.764.9600 to get your copy.
