FCBID sanitation crews performed exceptionally well during the second quarter (April through June) of this year, garnering cleanliness ratings of 97.6% for streets and an impressive 100% for sidewalks. Third quarter (July through September) results were 92.9% for streets and 97.6 for side- walks. These slightly lower ratings reflect the increased pedestrian traffic and street projects that are always seen during the summer months. Ratings are given by the Mayor’s Office of Operations. In September, the FCBID maintenance crew provided fresh coats of paint for 275 traffic poles and 85 bishop’s crook light poles, while also collecting 30.1 tons of trash (that’s 5,747 Fashion Center logo bags!).
